Joe Peters grew up in the American Midwest during the turbulent times of the 1960s and 70s, and his songs hearken back to a time when the youth of the planet sought the experience of peace, love and adventure and expressed this search in their music. Through his own music, Joe has tried to rekindle in others that spark of the seeker of truth on a spiritual journey that was awakened in him long ago by the songs of introspective songwriters and recording artists.

Prior to a career in music, Joe Peters was an academic in natural resources management, teaching and conducting research in South America, Africa and Asia. Upon retirement, he began playing his songs at open mics, restaurants, coffee shops, theaters, fundraisers and other venues in his native Indiana. After hundreds of shows, Peters moved to California in 2016 where he continues to perform in the Bay Area, now with his band Slow Train. Peters has released 20 albums of original songs, mostly folk, rock and Americana genres with his longtime collaborator, Michael Kelsey, and many others.

Sam Bennett is an Indiana native with a hunger for expression through writing and music. Originally from Indianapolis, he studied for his bachelor's degree at Wabash College before heading to Purdue to pursue his PhD in philosophy. 

During this time, he was developing an approach entirely his own to songwriting. Early in his guitar-playing days, he invented his own tuning which remains with him wherever the music takes him. On top of this, anyone who knows him can attest to his gift for imbuing the mundane images of everyday life with impregnable beauty. The listener can't help but take a different perspective on the subject at hand upon absorbing Bennett's lyrics.

You may find Sam performing live in the area with collaborator and co-performer Frank Anthony, backing Scott Greeson and Vickie Maris on lead guitar, or otherwise offering his talents on the pedal steel guitar, which has recently joined his arsenal. He is also a board member of SAMI, for whom he has offered his writing talents in the form of interviews and other articles.
