During the week of July 24th, 2023, SAMI and REC Room Recording produced a weeklong workshop for community musicians featuring leading Los Angeles music professionals.  The community response and outcome was phenomenal. Support for this workshop came from private donors, TAF and the Indiana Arts Commission. Rec Room Recording Studio was a focal point for the event, which was created with the support of NCHS and GLCF grants. The approximate 40 attendees ranging in age from 15 to 70, experienced coaching in the areas of performance, recording, songwriting and music business.  Our special guest were Steven Memel, Ronan Chris Murphy and Liz Redwing. Their collective resumes include work with well known artists such as Maroon 5, Sara Bareilles, Halsey, Tina Turner, No Doubt and King Crimson to name a few.
