Grammy Nominated Producer Workshop

On March 9th, 2024, multi-Grammy nominated recording engineer Matt Coles will lead an amazing day-long workshop with SAMI and Rec Room Recording at TAF. Matt has worked in the Nashville recording industry for over 20 years, and is also a live sound mix engineer for Grammy Award winning artist Allison Brown.

During the workshop, Matt will share tips on how to get the best out of your gear when working on your projects. He will review the best techniques for mic placement on acoustic instruments, percussion and vocals. Matt will also review basic pre-amp, EQ and reverb applications. He will share time-saving mix techniques that will get you phenomenal mixes in a more efficient manner.

As a board member of the Nashville chapter of the Recording Academy (Grammys), Matt will spend time talking about the importance of your online presence as a musician. Why is AllMusic so important? What is the best way to optimize your releases on streaming services?
